Another event that occurred while Kent Wagoner served with VR-24 at Port Lyautey was one fit for a King. In fact, it was the the ceremony to welcome the arrival of Morocco's King Hassan II home from a trip to the United States, March 27-30, 1963. After his formal State Visit, President Kennedy honored King Hassan II by sending him home on Air Force One, a VIP version of the Boeing 707. Kent Wagoner was on hand for the king's arrival at Kenitra and took the photos shown on this page.

Anyone who has photos, stories, and material they wish to share is encouraged to send them to Dick Prather, Webmaster/Editor of the VR-24 website.
