A second EM Club was located in downtown Port Lyautey. One could get a quiet drink and a shoe shine in the club's back bar.

For the followers of the "sport of kings", there was the racetrack in Rabat. Given the "hazards" visible on the course, it appears that this was a "steeple-chase" event.

The more adventerous explored the Moroccan interior. Packer and Vinson in Meknez in 1951.

Some went for what would later be popularized by President Eisenhower as his "people-to- people" program. VR-24 members L-R Davis, Enders, Laveck, Dawe, and Joe Babis pose with sheepherders while on a jeep trip into the "hinterlands". The shepards bargained for cigarettes in trade for being photographed.

Some took a different approach. Morrow, Joe Babis, Turk, and Kells appear to be trying to hustle a local belle. In reality, the photo was only staged to give that impression. The young woman laughed, apparently amused. The Moroccan men may have been less so.
